Self-harm is anything we do as a way of harming our wellbeing and putting ourselves in danger. This can include drinking alcohol to excess, cutting, taking risks or even excess spending or gambling.
Suicidal thoughts often including thinking about being better off not here. These thoughts are common when suffering from stress or low mood but if you start thinking about how you would end your life or you lose hope this is when you may need to think about accessing further help.
