What about self-care?

To enable our mental healthiness to be at its best, our body (which hopefully is attached to your head) also needs to have a level of healthiness.

Our body works on time keeping biology- i.e. Zeitgiebers

This includes:

• Sleeping – wider watching here:

We have both internal mechanisms for the above requirements and external cues that help our body know what time these events should take place.

Skill Stop

Be prepared (Connect, active, new skills, giving to others, pay attention) Thinking about our health as something we need to foster is really integral. If it was raining outside we would wear a coat and wellys? Why would we not protect ourselves for mental health and physical health by sleeping, eating well and looking after relationships. This way we will give ourselves an added layer of resilience.

Main Point

humans work on certain time keeping cues, sleeping well, eating well and maintaining connections are integral to our bodies external and internal cues. Being in balance with these and considering these can improve our mental healthiness.
