Sometimes we aren’t consciously aware that we have been triggered, but our brain is, as there is an automatic process going on in the limbic system.
Therefore we might notice physical symptoms which we can identify and address.

The fizz helps us to think about our physical symptoms of being affected by a trigger, by thinking about a fizzy bottle of drink. The more you shake it the more aggravated it becomes.

Main Point
Understanding what can affect our mental health is important as we can identify triggers to having poor mental health.
If we are aware of the triggers that make our mental health worse, we can plan to avoid them or manage our health around them / or them around our health. We can also address our physical symptoms and avoid unhelpful behaviours that happen after the trigger.
